from Mahahual to Bacalar
Bacalar is located 104 km from Mahahual. (according to Google Maps, 1 hour and 15 minutes away). So we headed down the El Cafetal-Mahahual highway until we came across the Cancun-Chetumal highway. Turn left towards Chetumal and we are already halfway there so enjoy the landscape!
By the way, when I go, I always fill up with gas at the only station we have in the region, and along the way, I buy a soft drink and snack for the road. I recommend that you do the same if you are driving.
